I went to the Craft Barn Extravaganza today with two friends. I was hoping to gleen some inspiration but was a little disappointed. This goes to prove that I am good at what I do and I shouldn’t feel inadequate. I do a better job at greeting my customers and am as knowledgable as any of the demonstrators there. In fact I am probably better!!! I hate this trend towards dotty eyed, no other features, cartoon style stamps. They are so two dimentional. You ink them, stamp them and colour them in. That’s it! You even have to draw the mouths on (optional). What’s the point? There are too many now, it’s like a band wagon with no taste. When I get into this blogging lark I’ll prove it by uploading my work for critisism (constructive of course).

Hello world!
March 3, 2008 by craftyclareWell here goes!!!
The world of blogging. I don’t quite know who might be interested but what the hell.
I am forty several and own a small independant papercraft shop in Hailsham, East Sussex. I specialise in rubber stamping, cardmaking and general papercrafts. I have a talented team of teachers and card designers who help me to inspire the crafters of East Sussex. Check back for updates on the exciting antics at Craftyclares.
